Attachments from Upbase's Docs/Files, not just files from disk

I would like to be able to add Docs or Files from within Upbase as attachments to a task.
Currently, it seems I can only add attachments from disk. To add Docs or Files that are already in Upbase, I either have to download and then re-upload them as a static attachment, or I have to manually copy a link into the task description, both of which are cumbersome and limited.
This would be helped by the @ mentions considered elsewhere (the "Connect docs to tasks" issue), but I would still/additionally find attachments more natural for associating Files/Docs with tasks. It seems strange to me that files from disk are privileged and treated differently from in-house Files/Docs.
