Originally titled "Non-HTTP links are automatically broken". It seems that the behaviour has changed so that non-HTTP links are now not supported at all. Upbase now only seems to accept http:// links. Web browsers allow other types of links to be registered like file:// for local files and ones for specific apps like evernote://. This can be exceptionally powerful since it allows for linking to resources outside of the World Wide Web. As per the original description below, Upbase previously had limited (broken) support for these types of links. Now there is no support at all. Original description Upbase can accept hyperlinks that are not HTTP, but for some reason the colon is automatically deleted. This breaks the link. This tiny bug represents a lost opportunity, since many apps provide deep links for tighter integration between apps. Evernote is a great example. It can produce links to specific notes that start with evernote:///. Another example would be to use file:// to link to a file on the local system or LAN.
