It would be great if we could use this feature to, for example, subscribe to a newsletter that lands as an item in a specific list.
Antwan
This would require to lift the limitations on the “from” email-address, though.
Dave
Antwan: You actually can do this already. With the recently announced "Add tasks via email" function, here are the steps you would need to take:
1) Retrieve the 'add tasks via email' address from Upbase for whichever task list you'd like the emails to be forwarded to. Copy this address.
2) Go to your email inbox and set up a rule. (Different platforms may use slightly different terminology, but in Outlook for Mac, you'd go to Tools, then select Rules...)
3) Set the parameters for whichever emails you want to be routed to Upbase.
4) Set the action you want applied based on the parameters set. In this case, you'd want to select "Forward to" and then enter the Upbase 'add tasks via email' address that you copied in Step 1.
5) You're done! Just note that I'm 99% sure rules won't be applied to anything that lands in your Junk, so particularly for a use case related to subscriptions/newsletters, you'll just want to ensure you've added the senders to your contacts or marked them as "not junk."
Hope this helps!!
P.S. Just to be clear, for this to work, the subscription emails being forwarded to upbase would need to be associated with the same email address your Upbase account is registered with. However, you could probably work around that by simply adding an additional step (i.e. rule) to forward from the other inbox to the one that matches your Upbase user profile first, then basically follow the steps above to "forward again" to Upbase... you'll just need to be more creative with the parameters for the second rule since it's going to show up as something that you've sent to yourself, not something coming in from "Subscription ABC" which would otherwise be the simplified "Forward all emails from ___" that you'd want to apply. Good luck and hope this works for you!

Tony Pham I don't get this feature at all to be hones. So if my account is registered as info@company.com and I want to redirect all the email from support@company.com it is not possible? What I have to do to make it work? I have to create another user for support and add him to the list where I want to forward messages?
Dave
Jan: See above -- leveraging rules to automate redirections between accounts and into Upbase may be helpful in your case as well... I think?
...that said, thinking about it further now, I think the much easier work around would be to just add your secondary email (the support email, in your case) as a guest in the workspace/list. Guests can't see the addresses themselves, but CAN forward tasks anywhere they are a member so long as the account owner has manually provided them with that forwarding address. When account owner and "guest" are the same person, it's a pretty easy way to "turn on" forwarding from alternative aliases associated with your 'top-of-house' email workflow...
Tony Pham, would you agree? Or are there other nuances I'm missing that might keep this from being a viable quick-fix solution?

It's already working
👍Only note, the problem is that the email must be sent from the user's address. 🙁
Better to have a list of authorized emails like Amazon send to Kindle
◾ Add a new approved e-mail address.

In this way, I could, for example, forward e-mails directed to e.g. helpdesk to a specific e-mail, e.g. helpdesk@domain.com, which is not my e-mail address.

Tony Pham: I hope the update will include the ability for clients to interact with a project via email. That is an incredibly useful feature with Basecamp and would be great to have in Upbase.

please provide a experience similar to clickup where we can 'email to list' thus I can set a rule in GMAIL that any email from xyz@BOB.ca automatically goes to the email task list to be responded to by a team member.
Sherri-Lee Mathers
Please also allow that the email (google) is embedded inside the task, so when we look at the task it has the email history. (similar to clickup)

Jack S.: I don’t know the formal name for it but all task management systems have a way to send an email from my inbox to the system with an address so that you can make the email a task. For example in asana it’s x@mail.asana.com. It recognizes that the email is from a user and puts it into a task format. Does that help? I didn’t see you had included that in your suggestion for email to be integrated but I might have missed it in your description!
